Has brass plaque attached with all the important US, World War One dates. These may have been offered in ads in the back of US magazines for a few years after the war as a way for retired serviceman and their families to honor their service or the service of a loved one. Makers mark stamped on bottom is, XXXX Co. 8mm rifle shell trench art. Total height about 4, with an amazing Great Seal of the United States, American Eagle plaque attached.
In his left talon he holds a banner that reads: "E Pluribus Unum" (Out of many, one) On top stands a tiny brass Joan of Arc. She was a huge symbol for France during WWI.
